AUV Electronics Soldering

Quick update and some pictures. The submarine is nearly completely wired. Currently, the webcam and ball-dropper are not installed but the rest of the submarine is fine electrically. I finished soldering the new connectors onto the submarine, so electrical should be fine. We may need to a little more work on the power connectors.

I'll update this blog soon with a list of tasks that still need to be done. Off the top of my head, I believe we still need:

  • Machine vision
  • Client software (backend updates for SOAP-based communications)
  • Installation of OS, drivers and software (Java...)
  • Installation of thrusters
  • Leak test
  • Pool test with submarine running (can't wait :D)
